Medieval and renaissance, what else to ask?
At a short distance from Rome you have the opportunity to visit the long time swore enemies Sienna and Florence.
Sienna and Florence have been fierce rivals since the Middle Ages, still today, the Sienese are fiercely proud of their past. Just take the Palio, a bareback horse race that enflames the city into chaos twice yearly: Siena’s 17contrade, or quarters, compete with one another for the trophy. From the medieval banners that deck out the city during the races to the festive parades, the Palio feels like something straight out of the Middle Ages.
In the afternoon the driver will bring you to Florence, there you will meet your tour guide who will walk you to discover all the major attraction in the town centre. The Sightseeing tour of Florence is a 3 hours private walking tour it includes: Santa Croce, piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo (inside), Battistero and much much more.
