Fantastic, memorable, professional tour My friend and I just did two private tours; Colosseum and Forum, Baths of Caracalla. We did them both with Guiseppi who is and archeologist and published author. We loved these tours and Guiseppi was very knowledgable, engaging and personable. These tours are not booked through trip advisor or Viator, which seems to be taking over the market. You deal directly with the owner of Great Tours of Rome. This worked out fine for us. I think it made for a more exclusive experience and prices were reasonable. We ended up going at the end of the day for the colosseum and Forum and the beginning of the day for Caracalla. Great times to go ,as the crowds were not as bad. Make sure you spend plenty of time in the forum. There is a lot to see in there. We found it more interesting than Colosseum.

Tour of Colosseum and Forum Romanum The whole family really enjoyed our 3-hour tour of the Colosseum and Forum Romanum. Our guide Valentina was the best!

An excellent visit ! We visited the Vatican and it’s museum. The guide was extremely nice and interesting. The tour went beyond my expectations . I highly recommend it !

Colosseum & Forum tours, Vatican City & Rome City Center We did 3 private tours with Great Tours of Rome this month before and after our Mediterranean Cruise. Both of our tour guides had amazing knowledge of the history of the area. The tidbits of the history that they shared with us was amazing. For Rome City Center, our tour guide knew how excited our grown daughter was to see the Pantheon and he made our approach to it a little dramatic to give her the perfect reveal. As we arrived at the Trevi Fountain, they were closing it to clean it. He brought us back around at the end of the tour and it was open so we could through our coins in the fountain. He also knew all the great places to eat and drink. He pointed us to a fantastic restaurant near Vatican City.

Roma Contratar este servicio fue lo mejor que pudimos hacer para ir a Roma. Los traslados al aeropuerto fueron excelentes. Las excursiones contratadas fueron geniales. Nos saco la empresa los tickets con antelación, no tuvimos que esperar ninguna cola en las visitas, y el guia fue fantastico. Excelente atención. Los recomendaria 100%.

Visita con bambini Ho deciso di fare una piccola gita di due giorni a Roma con mia sorella, i miei figli di 8 e 10 anni e mia nipote di 10 anni, concentrando la visita sulla storia di Roma antica, ho preferito avere una guida per potere capire meglio aspetti ed ambienti difficili da immaginare guardando solo delle “pietre o poco altro”. La nostra guida Giacomo è stato eccezionale !!!! ha coinvolto molto i ragazzi facendo vedere loro delle immagini su libri e foto con ologrammi, ha dato spiegazioni comprensibili per bambini ma altrettanto interessanti anche per noi adulti. Raccomando vivamente questa visita.

Great Tours of Rome – Colosseum and Vatican On Thursday, July 19th, Susanna gave us a knowledgeable and very interesting tour of the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill, even squeezing in a visit to Santa Francesca Romana!On Friday, July 20th, Jason also gave us a very knowledgeable and flowing tour of the Vatican. His tour told us the Vatican story. Colosseum and Vatican Tours My husband and I had two wonderful tours with Great Tours of Rome. Giuseppe organised Emmanuela to be our guide and she was brilliant. She took us for a 3 hour tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum on the first day and was so knowledgeable. We didn’t have to queue and with the information she gave us we felt like we were living the history of the place. Absolutely amazing. Also our tour of the Vatican including the Sistine Chapel and St Peters was an eye opener. We wouldn’t have got as much out of the visit without Emmanuela to show us around and make sure we saw and understood everything.We would definitely recommend using Great Tours of Rome.

Vatican, Colosseum and Forum tours We prefer a private guided tour to really focus on what we find of interest. Our guides Giuseppe and Valentina were wonderful. They both have PHD’s in their respective areas, so it was hard to come up with questions they don’t have an answer on. They were also very friendly. Also important, they were great in understanding the particular interests of our family and shaping the tour around what resonated with us. Highly recommended, both of them!
